Pelicans saved from Gulf oil stick to new homes
SAVANNAH, Ga. — Among the 250 brown pelicans roosting on a sand bar on Georgia's Atlantic coast, wildlife biologist Tim Keyes managed to find a few with the numbered bands around their feet that identify them as survivors of a disaster more than 500 miles away.

Apartment, condo sector sees growth
WASHINGTON - Home construction increased last month and applications for building permits also grew. The gains were driven mainly by apartment and condominium construction, not the much larger single-family homes sector.

Last year, it was 1,350 square feet. This year, it's 1,200 square feet. And if the economy doesn't improve quickly enough to suit residential developers in Barrow County, who's to say that next year it won't be 1,000 square feet?
